Auditions for the 2008 ACDA Western Regional Honor Choir were due in early October. Please see Mrs. Alderman if you are interested in
auditioning for the 2009 ACDA National honor choirs (to be held in Oklahoma City, OK).

The next Regional ACDA Honor Choirs will be in Anaheim, CA, February 27-March 1, 2008. Auditions for these honor choirs are recorded and must be postmarked by September 28, 2007.
National Honor Choir auditions take place every other year and alternate with Regional ACDA Honor Choirs.
The Regional Honor Choirs for which CVHS students will be qualified to audition are:
Junior High School Honor Choir (SATB; Grades 7-9)
Conducted by Judith Herrington (Tacoma Youth Chorus: Tacoma, WA)
High School Honor Choir (SATB Grades; 10-12)
Conducted by Joe Miller (Westminster Choir College: Princeton, NJ)

| IF YOU ARE SELECTED. . . |
| 1. | This is a very big honor! |
| 2. | You must take a chaperone that is NOT your choir teacher (if you are under
18). |
| 3. | Acceptance letter and $210 non-refundable deposit to ACDA must be
postmarked by November 16, 2007. |
| 4. | You will be required to stay with your chaperone at the hotel where your
rehearsals take place. |
| 5. | You are responsible for your own transportation to and from
Anaheim. |
| 6. | There will be additional fees to cover your hotel and food expenses
(usually ~$350). |

Audition material used for SCVA Honor Choir Auditions is appropriate for Nationals and may be used for both.
